HUGE granite boulders are about to roll up alongside Britain’s tallest building to liven up London’s Canary Wharf financial district.

They may look like dice which a giant has rolled out.

But sculpture Peter Randall-Page carefully chipped away at the boulders to create a pattern he says explores the idea of putting order into nature’.

He is showing the geometrically-patterned works in Jubilee Park as part of the Sculpture in the Workplace’ exhibition at the iconic Canary Wharf Tower.

Randall-Page is also putting on show his biggest-ever drawing, a giant a pair of insect wings, to bring a splash of colour to the entrance of the skyscraper block. The effect of the light shining through the coloured vinyl of the wings is like a stained glass window.

The exhibition opens next Monday (April 19). Visitors can join the artist and curator in conversation the next day at 1.15pm in the Lobby of One Canada Square, bookings by phone on 020-7418 2257.
