Families have set up a ‘good neighbours’ scheme with a network of ‘champions’ for each stairwell block on the Boundary Estate in London’s East End.
The ‘champions’ look at ways to make stairwells more of a meeting place to get to know one-another and get ideas for improvements.
They have been given a grant from ‘Your Square Mile’, a scheme backed by the Big Lottery to make changes in communities.
The Boundary Neighbourhood Group was launched at a get-together at Arnold Circus in Club Row, behind Shoreditch Church.
