PRIME Minister Gordon Brown is due this lunchtime at the 2012 Olympics site in East London where he is chairing a Cabinet meeting.

He arrives at noon to view the construction progress of the Aquatics centre from a viewing platform 90ft above the ground before the meeting.

With him are Olympics Minister Tessa Jowell, Business Secretary Lord Mandelson, Treasury Secretary Liam Byrne and Housing Minister John Healey.

They are being joined by 14 other Government ministers who have been touring the East London Olympics host’ boroughs this-morning looking at projects in some of the East End’s poorest communities.

The Cabinet meeting at the Olympics site office is due to start at 1.30pm.
