Havant boss Bradbury: O’s are best team we have played by long way

Justin Edinburgh hailed the support of Leyton Orient’s crowd after another attendance of over five thousand was recorded

Lee Bradbury lavished praise on Leyton Orient after they thrashed his Havant & Waterlooville team 4-0 in the National League at the Breyer Group Stadium on Saturday.
The O’s were at their imperious best and were simply too hot to hand for the visitors, who were in the relegation zone ahead of kick-off.
Orient were three goals ahead at half time after goals from Josh Coulson and Charlie Lee sandwiched a Theo Lewis own-goal.
Ben Dudzinski made a number of saves throughout the contest, but couldn’t prevent Macauley Bonne adding some justified gloss to the scoreline with an excellent strike on the hour mark.

“We knew it would be a tough afternoon, but in the second half I felt we were more organised and strong.

“We were more competitive, but I have to say Leyton Orient are probably the best team we have played this season by a long way and I can see why they are where they are in the table.”
The victory for O’s, coupled with Salford City, Wrexham and Harrogate Town all dropping points, sent them back to the top of the National League.
It was another fantastic day for the E10 club with an attendance of 5,043 recorded on a cold, chilly day.
Havant’s away travelling of 224 also contributed towards a good atmosphere, but on the pitch there was only one winner.
Orient’s play was slick and they carved the visitors open on several occasions both in the first and second half.
It left boss Justin Edinburgh pleased after O’s had failed to score in their previous two encounters on home turf.
He said: “The support was incredible and to be averaging over five thousand is a remarkable achievement, and we have to applaud the fans for turning out, like they have done week in, week out.
“We are delighted with the support and to put on a good show for them with a very positive performance.”
