A new NHS website is being set up next month to make it easier for women to book online for breast screening in east London and the City.
They will be able to book online in confidence from April 2.
Marie Gabriel, who chairs NHS East London & the City, said: “We hope the website will raise awareness about the importance of breast screening and make it easier to take up screening invitation at a time best suited to the women.”
A demonstration of the website is being held on March 28 from 4pm at St Bartholomew’s Hospital in the City. Anyone wanting to attend can call 020-3465 5603, or email matthew.cruice@bartsandthelondon.nhs.uk.
The website, funded jointly by Barts & The London Charity with the screening teams in Tower Hamlets, Hackney, Newham, Waltham Forest, Islington and Camden, goes live on April 2 at: www.celbreastscreening.org.uk.
