The Alzheimer’s Society brings dementia advice and expert help to Whitechapel next week.

The charity’s mobile information service will be stopping off at the Royal London Hospital on Thursday, September 20 on the latest leg of its Dementia Community Roadshow.

Between 10am and 4pm a team of experts will offer free information and advice to anyone with questions about the condition, which affects 1,200 people in the borough.

“Dementia is one of the biggest health and social care challenges of our generation,” said regional operations manager Ayla Patton-Element.

“Yet it continues to be a condition surrounded by stigma. This can mean that people who are worried about dementia, or simply want to find out more, may not know where to turn.

“Our Dementia Community Roadshow offers an opportunity for those people to get the information and support they need.”

Unable to attend the Roadshow? Find out more about dementia on the national dementia helpline on 0300 222 1122.
