A consultant cardiologist at an independent hospital in Stepney Green is up for a prestigious award.
Dr Charles Knight, who works privately for the BMI, The London Independent Hospital, while also heading up the cardiac unit at Barts Health NHS Trust, has been short-listed for this year’s Independent Healthcare Award.
He is recognised in the Outstanding Contribution category for his work in developing and refining the cardiac service at BMI over the past 13 years.
Among Dr Knight achievements since he began practising at BMI in 2000 has been his help in developing a rapid access chest pain service, delivering immediate walk in care for patients.
