The helpline for people with epilepsy closes for two days on Christmas Day and Boxing Day, the Epilepsy Society has announced.

But it is keeping open on Christmas Eve until 1pm to answer questions, give up-to-date information and give callers time to talk and receive support.

The confidential helpline (closed Sundays) reopens 9am-4pm on December 27, 28 and 31, closing again on New Year’s Day, but back to normal from January 2.

Epilepsy helpline is on 01494-601400 (national rate).
