Mr Lansley is dropping into the Bromley-by-Bow Centre in St Leonard's Street in one of the first visits in his new role in the coalition government.
He is expected to announce a new NHS policy which will affect GPs.
The health secretary recently announced that he was halting plans for 100 polyclinics in London and the re-organisation of GPs across the capital, which he said was just the start of a major rethink of policy under the new coalition.
