PUBLISHED: 16:23 29 May 2012

A campaign targeting earlier diagnosis of lung cancer is encouraging people to visit their GPs if they have a cough for three weeks.

North East London and the City NHS say 300 people are diagnosed and 250 people die from the disease each year in East London.

Hackney GP, Dr Emma West, said: “We want to see you if you have any warning signs of lung cancer.”
