A three year strategy for helping people suffering from mental health issues has been produced.
The strategy represents the culmination of a public consultation, and has been developed by the Tower Hamlets health and wellbeing board, the borough’s Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), and the council.
It recommends a longer-term approach, with greater emphasis on strong foundations for children and young people’s mental health, and tackle stigma and discrimination. Chair of Tower Hamlets CCG Dr Sam Everington said: “We want to make sure that all mental health services in Tower Hamlets offer a good experience to patients, carers and families. To ensure we deliver top-quality mental health care, we want to hear the views of people who use our local services.”
