Investigative journalist Heather Brooke, the reporter who first uncovered the MPs expenses scandal in 2009, speaks in public this-evening about the future of politics in the digital age.
She is in discussion in front of an audience at the University of East Anglia’s London campus in Middlesex Street, near Liverpool Stret station, with MP Douglas Carswell, author of ‘The End of Politics and the Birth of iDemocracy’, and with ‘Total Politics’ editor Ben Duckworth.
Heather homes in on the digital revolution transforming industries from music and movies to the media and publishing—but challenges whether politics is “resolutely trying not to change.” The hour-long discussion starts 7pm.
