A WOMAN in handcuffs had to be freed by firemen in London’s East End when she lost the key.
The 40-something brunette knocked on the door of Millwall fire station on the Isle of Dogs at 5am yesterday (Monday) pleading for help.
Someone had put the cuffs on as a joke—but couldn’t find the key to release her afterwards.
“We got the woman free in a few seconds with our heavy-duty bolt-croppers,” explained a senior fire officer.
“She thanked us and quickly left. She wouldn’t say how she came to be wearing handcuffs and wouldn’t even say who she was—I think she was too embarrassed.”
The woman had apparently had the handcuffs on for 24 hours, since Saturday night, before she went to the fire station for help.
