Commercial organisations are being urged to help children in London’s East End with their sums.
Tower Hamlets Business Partnership has already signed up 10 companies since September for its BEE scheme, the Business, Enterprise and Employability programme, now functioning in 15 schools.
Becky Feetham from Tower Hamlets Business Partnership said: “Everyone should have a good understanding of how to manage money — the earlier we can start, the better.”
Another four schools are keen to take part.
The Business Partnership is looking for more companies to join the scheme to get more East End schools on board.
