STUDENT art has gone on public display at London's Canary Wharf business district which includes images of house flies and a cracked earth.

The exhibition in the lobby of the main Canada Square tower block is by 15 MA students in Fine Art at the University of East London.

The 15 work cheek by jowl in small spaces at the college opposite London City Airport.

Their artworks include 'Flies' by Heather Langford, depicting 30 clear plastic house flies each 30cm long against the glass sides of the Canary Wharf lobby. Another is 'Cracked Earth' by Elisabeth Bond, which draws inspiration from the mudflats at East India Dock nearby.

The free exhibition runs until August 21 and most of the artwork is for sale.
