AN affordable housing scheme in London's East End has picked up an industry award.
Grand Union Place in Harford Street, Stepney, won the Chartered Institute of Housing and Inside Housing UK award for 'meeting housing needs and aspirations in a changing market'
It is is the largest development by East Thames Group. Representatives from the housing association picked up the award at the Park Lane Hilton hotel in central London last week.
Grand Union Place is a canal-side scheme with 524 homes for households of various sizes, ages and incomes. The different tenure types have been mixed from floor to floor to provide a mix of social rented and fully or part-owned households.
