One thousand people left their offices following a basement blaze in Canary Wharf this afternoon.
Around 25 firefighters and four engines attended after receiving reports of smoke in Canada Water at 2.30pm.
The “small fire” in the building was out before crews arrived with no injuries reported, according to a spokeswoman for London Fire Brigade.
Teams from Millwall, Poplar, Plaistow and East Greenwich fire stations attended.
The Brigade is looking into the cause of the fire.
