Close to 9,000 people packed into a festival celebrating the cultural richness of newcomers to Tower Hamlets.
Organised by the Praxis Community Projects, an advise service for migrants to the borough, this year’s New Voices festival featured live music and drama performances from around the world inside Museum Gardens last Saturday. Information stalls and a children’s area was also put up at the park.
Praxis Community Projects, based at Pott Street in Bethnal Green, offers advice on welfare rights, benefits, health, housing, debt, employment, immigration and nationality.
The festival was supported by Tower Hamlets Council and delivered in partnership with the V&A Museum of Childhood, St John on Bethnal Green Church and Joule Production.
