Twenty polo balls have been hidden in city parks including Victoria Park and there are cryptic puzzles and photo clues on the 'polo in the park ' Facebook page to help people on their quest for a winning ball.
The contest promotes a weekend of watching players on horesback compete in polo matches at Hurlingham Park in west London in June.
Anyone who finds a ball in Vicky Park could win the top 5,000 cash prize or VIP tickets to the event.
Also up for grabs are discover polo days which include a personalised lesson from UK champion Jack Kidd.
