I’m Bob Hope No Hope’ on council housing list

Dear Ed,
I HAVE been on Tower Hamlets housing bidding list three years and bid every week—but get nowhere.
An email I received from the Lettings department telling me where I came on the List had an email trail that said I was becoming like a pen pal’ and I had Bob Hope and No Hope’ of ever getting a property.
As you can imagine, I was very upset and angry.
Why do we have a bidding system? Why should I continue bidding if I have “Bob Hope and No Hope”?
I have lived in the East End nearly 25 years and all my family over generations. I feel my application is not being looked at because I have my own bedroom.

How do they expect young people today to ever be able to stand on there own two feet when the council won’t even give us a chance? The whole system is a shambles.
