The deputy mayor of Tower Hamlets boarded Inter-Action’s “fun art bus” when it pulled up to the opening of the new Newby Place Health Centre and All Saints Medical practice last week.
Run by Professor Ed Berman MBE, the bus has been touring communities in East London over the summer in an attempt to provide a hub to bring people together.
The 1965 routemaster bus has been in demand, with recent stops including the 30th anniversary of the Groundwork Trust in Newham’s Cody Dock.
Academic and philanthropist Professor Ed Berman is behind the project, and carried the Olympic torch before this summer’s Games. His most recent trip with the bus saw him meet up with the deputy mayor of Tower Hamlets, Ohid Ahmed.
