VISITORS to Spitalfields were turning Japanese when they flocked to a flocked to a celebration of Far Eastern culture, music, theatre and food at the weekend.
Thousands of people flocked to the free event in Spitalfields Market in Commercial Street where musicians, dancers and martial artists entertained the crowds across three stages on Saturday.
Stalls offered a selection of Japanese foods, where visitors tried stir-fried yakisoba noodles, takoyaki octopus dumplings, yakitori chicken skewers, curry, sushi, tempura, o-den stew, traditional Japanese sweets and a selection of sakes as well as clothing and traditional crafts.
