East Enders should “make the most” of the Olympics this summer, according to MP for Poplar and Limehouse Jim Fitzpatrick.
Mr Fitzpatrick was joined by Olympic gold-medal winner Jonathan Edwards CBE and London 2012 chair Sebastian Coe at a reception in Parliament.
He said: “As we reach the final straight to the Games, it’s time for everybody to start thinking how they can play their part and celebrate what is going to be an incredible summer.
“I am urging everyone in Poplar and Limehouse to join in with the celebrations this summer and make the most of this once in a lifetime opportunity.”
