Joshua Ashley holds a fundraising event this-morning for the Apples and Pears cockney charity in London’s East End to launch his new personal fitness trainers app.

The 22-year-old entrepreneur from Whitechapel was so fed up with packed gyms and not being able to find the time to squeeze in a workout that he has set up his ‘Vyta’ on-demand personal training app.

He has already signed up personal trainers across London.

“I didn’t feel comfortable working out in packed gyms,” Ashley admits. “But now have an eight-week plan to get into a routine because I’m in control and have someone there to guide me.”

Customers using his Vyta app track teir trainers 30 minutes before a session, so they can see when they are to make it easier to find one another at their house, park or workplace.

Joshua’s new company is holding a fitness fundraiser at Sir John Cass school in Aldgate from 10.30am today until 12 noon to support the Apple & Pears charity for “inclusive” communities.

The charity runs weekend trips for children and their families to places like the Olympic Park and the Half Moon Theatre at Limehouse and raises funds for primary schools and grassroots projects.
