A schoolgirl from Tower Hamlets presented Kate Middleton with a bouquet of flowers today as the Princess attended the offices of a mental health charity.
The Duchess of Cambridge had a “Marilyn Monroe moment” as her dress was blown up by the wind, calling to mind the famous scene in the film The Seven Year Itch.
Tierney Potter, a pupil at St Edmund’s School in Westferry, handed the Princess the bouquet and later said she was “nice and pretty.”
The Duchess was in Canary Wharf to visit the offices of Clifford Chance to attend the Resilience and Emotional Strength in Schools Forum as part of her work with the children’s mental health charity Place2Be.
Bonita Refson, chief executive of Place2Be, thanked the Duchess for her support for its “passionate belief that early intervention in children’s well-being and mental health really does matter.”
