FAMILIES held a peoples festival’ on their inner city housing estate in London’s East End to celebrate the new all-sports pitch that’s been laid out for the kids in the neighbourhood.
The new pitch and green space is part of the redevelopment of Shadwell’s Berner Estate in Christian Street, off the Commercial Road.
The fun day was also a chance for tenants to find out more about the plans for the estate, while the kids got on with the serious business of entertainments including face painting, henna painting, games, poetry readings, singing, and drama performances.
