CHILDREN are being used in a protest at City Hall this-afternoon in a campaign to change the law on overcrowded housing.
They are posing for the media with Boris Johnson in the campaign launched in East London to highlight a-million children up and down the country who are trapped in cramped conditions.
The Mayor is lending his weight to the campaign at 2.15pm at City Hall near Tower Bridge.
A small shelter house is being used in the protest calling for a change in legislation which at present does not include babies under 12 months when overcrowding is assessed. The current legal definition, which has remained unchanged since 1935, also considers living rooms and even large kitchens as acceptable places to sleep.
