YOUNGSTERS have been on their bikes in East London this week as part of a campaign to get them cycling to school.

Around 2,500 kids from five primary schools in the Isle of Dogs cycled to school for a week as part of a campaign run by the Sustrans sustainable transport’ charity.

The youngsters are pictured with the charity’s Bike It officer James Scott at Island Gardens in Cubitt Town after they had completed 180 miles between them during the week.

Primary schools involved were Arnhem Wharf, Seven Mills, Cubitt Town, Harbinger and St Luke’s.
