A language service company based in the east end has won an award for its commitment to excellence and improved client satisfaction.

Asian Absolute, in St Botolph Street, were crowned the winners in the project management team of the year at the association of translation companies’ (ATC ) 2016 language industry summit awards on Thursday.

The team, who were selected for their strong sense of collaboration, saw off competition from two other national finalists to take home the honour.

Henry Clough, managing director at the Whitechapel based company, said: “I was delighted to hear that we had been shortlisted so when we were announced as the winner we were overjoyed.

“My team and I feel very passionately about the job that we do and the importance of the language sector in our country, and I am very proud that our commitment has been recognised at the highest possible level by such a distinguished panel of judges.”

ATC General Secretary Geoffrey said: “The gala award dinner was a remarkable celebration of excellence and success within the language industry.

“We would like to congratulate Asian Absolute on their win and hope that they and the other winners can help to demonstrate the importance and benefits of a career in the language sector for future generations.”
