SAMURAI swords and an axe were found when police raided a flat in a drugs operation.

Cops executed a drugs warrant at a flat in Kingward House in Hanbury Street, Spitalfields at 7.45am on Friday last week.

Four samurai swords, a knife and an axe which were hidden around the flat in cupboards were voluntarily given to police.

The weapons have now been destroyed.
