The entrepreneur visited Bishop Challoner Catholic Collegiate School, in Commercial Road, on Friday, November 29, and spoke to pupils for around 45 minutes about his career during a question and answer session and also posed for autographs.

Levi appeared on television show, Dragons’ Den in 2007 and secured a £50,000 investment from entrepreneurs Peter Jones and Richard Farleigh to launch his business, which is estimated to be worth more than £50 million.

Brett Barnsdale, business studies teacher at Bishop Challoner, said: “All the GCSE Business lessons began this term with an investigation into Levi Roots’ pitch and further development of his brand as a case study.

“For the students to be able to relate their learning and place this into practice will help them to progress with rapid speed.

“It has been so inspirational.”

Nick Soar, head of the girls school at Bishop Challoner, said: “Both our Catering students and Business students have learned so much from Levi, and he has been an inspiration.”
