Leyton Orient will make the long trip up north to Gateshead as they look to bag themselves a spot in the FA Trophy semi-final.

The O’s will head to the Gateshead International Stadium for a replay this evening (7.45pm) as they look to seal progress in the cup competition after being pegged back 3-3 against The Tynesiders.

Justin Edinburgh’s men should already be through to the last-four, but they let slip a three-goal lead on Saturday.

Goals from Josh Koroma, Ebou Adams and Josh Coulson put them in control with 57 on the clock.

But the Heed fought back brilliantly with Danny Johnson netting a brace and Richard Peniket equalising on the stroke of full-time to force a replay.

Defender Joe Widdowson admits the squad have an eye on Wembley and it’s important to keep that dream alive in the back end of the season.

“Everyone has got an eye on Wembley so it’s a really nice incentive for the end of the season so we’re really focused on that and will be doing everything to progress,” the 28-year-old said.

“It’s a big deal because it’s a nice distraction from the league and we’re close now to the final so now we’ve come all this way we need to try get as far as we can and progress.

“Obviously we should have seen the game out last time so we’ll definitely be making sure that we’re up for it and ready to try going through to the next round.”

If the club can progress they will land National League rivals Bromley or National League North side Town in the semi-finals to decide who reaches the final at Wembley on May 20.
