The Brisbane Road club have already secured the services of three players this month, but their boss wants to bring in a couple more

Leyton Orient boss Justin Edinburgh is looking for the club to bring in a central midfielder and another attacker now Josh Coulson’s future has been secured.

The centre back signed a permanent deal with the O’s today after Cambridge United terminated his contract six months early.

Coulson put pen-to-paper on a two-and-a-half year deal at Brisbane Road and Edinburgh now has his eyes set on two more additions over the next three weeks.

When reflecting on what business the club will do in January, he said: “We will look at getting another couple in after Josh (Coulson) at least.

“I feel we need someone in central midfield and I would like to get another player in an attacker area because you can never have enough of them.”

The O’s have already been busy this month with Dan Holman and Lamar Reynolds joining the club on loan from Cheltenham Town and Newport County respectively last week.

Reynolds made his debut during the goalless draw with Boreham Wood and will aim to start at Bognor Regis Town this Saturday.

Two players who won’t be involved are central midfielders Zain Westbrooke and Freddy Moncur.

Westbrooke appears set to return to Brentford this week when his three-month loan spell expires after only making eight appearances since joining.

Meanwhile Moncur is cup tied after playing for Bishop’s Stortford in the FA Trophy in October and November.

He played the whole match in the first qualifying round when the Blues beat Hanwell Town 4-0 on October 28.

Moncur then featured for Stortford two weeks later when they lost 2-0 away to Lewes in the second qualifying round.

Edinburgh said: “Freddy is here and doing well, but unfortunately he is cup tied for Saturday so that hinders him.

“It is difficult getting the balance right. We allowed him to go on loan and perform in the FA Trophy and that has hindered us now, but central midfield is an area where we’d like to get something done before facing Bognor Regis.”
