O’s and Barnet couldn’t be separated at the Hive and it finished goalless between the two London rivals
Leyton Orient interim manager Andy Edwards has insisted he hasn’t even thought about taking the job permanently yet.
The 45-year-old picked up his first point since taking charge of the O’s today following a goalless draw with Barnet.
It halts the east Londoners run of three consecutive defeats, but who replaces Andy Hessenthaler permanently still remains unclear.
“Do I want the job? I genuinely haven’t thought about it. I’ve been at the club for seven years and enjoyed every aspect of working at the club in various capacities,” said Edwards.

“Whatever role I fulfil I’ll do my best and it is not something I’ve closely considered because of the way football works.”
The former O’s Academy Director also revealed his plan is to continue taking everything one day at a time.

Although he does expect to be in charge of Tuesday’s EFL Trophy match at his old club Southend United.
Edwards added: “I’ve not spoken to Francesco Becchetti personally. I was asked to take Tuesday’s game against Plymouth Argyle and I continued today.
“I’m literally taking it one day at a time, one training session at a time and that is the approach I’ll continue with until I’m told otherwise.”
Orient made a bright start at the Hive before Barnet grew into the London derby and it was largely even throughout.
Jay Simpson had a good chance in the 37th minute, but Bees goalkeeper Josh Vickers made a simple save down to his left.
“There is a slight lack of confidence at the moment because of three defeats on the bounce and the situation we’re in,” said Edwards.
“It was important to build small building blocks like to be defensively sound and defensively strong and keep a clean sheet.”
Yvan Erichot impressed at the heart of the O’s back four and played his part in keeping Barnet’s John Akinde quiet.
Tom Parkes alongside him and Callum Kennedy and Nicky Hunt also had important roles to play in the goalless draw.
Meanwhile O’s goalkeeper Alex Cisak made two impressive saves - one from Luke Gambin in the first half and another off Sam Togwell after the break.
Edwards said: “Yvan has been struggling all week and it was magnificent that he played and his performance alongside Parkesy and the rest of the back four against somebody like John Akinde, who is an exceptional player at this level, was first-class.
“They didn’t give him a kick and throughout the game their focus and concentration, they were all great.”
Orient’s interim manager also provided an update on Nigel Atangana who missed the match after being forced off on Tuesday night.
“We’re hoping he might be fit for next week and I’ll certainly be pushing the physio to do as much work as he can with him to get him back. We’d like Nigel available and we want a fully fit squad to try and push on,” said Edwards.
