Leyton Orient suffered their heaviest defeat for 13 years as MK Dons thrashed them by five-goals on a sorry day for the Brisbane Road club.

Former West Ham United youngster Rob Hall wrecked havoc and helped himself to a treble, whilst Dean Bowditch, Will Grigg and Dele Alli all got in on the act.

Jay Simpson pulled one back for Fabio Liverani’s men, but this was an extremely disappointing day at the office and a defeat that resulted in them dropping back into the relegation places.

Alex Cisak (6) – The on-loan Burnley keeper was beaten six times, but couldn’t have done much about many of them. The second goal was a poor one to concede, however, but he made a couple of impressive late stops.

Scott Cuthbert (6) – The right-back never gave up, but probably should have realised Bowditch was behind him for the opener. His effort was commendable, though.

Nathan Clarke (6) – Skipper tried to rally his team, but struggled against Bowditch and couldn’t help side turn the tide once they were behind.

Mathieu Baudry (6) – Frenchman could have maybe prevented the second goal, but continued to work hard nevertheless and was one of O’s better players in the second half.

Shane Lowry (4) – Extremely difficult afternoon for the left-back up against Hall, who gave him a torrid time. Orient defender couldn’t get near MK Dons hat-trick hero.

Jake Taylor (5) – Midfielder made his first start since April 1, but was nonexistent and was substituted at half time.

Marvin Bartley (5) – Experienced ace struggled to cope with home midfield and couldn’t get Liverani’s team up the pitch.

Lloyd James (5) – His set piece deliveries weren’t great, and like Bartley struggled against Dons midfield. It didn’t help that they were outnumbered, though.

Jobi McAnuff (5) – Jamaican didn’t offer much attacking threat, but did have a decent effort saved. He was also involved with penalty decision against Orient.

Chris Dagnall (5) – A combination of him and McAnuff gave Dons a spot-kick and it was a frustrating 61 minutes for the forward.

Jay Simpson (6) – Striker worked hard and took his goal really well. He might have scored in first half though, but hit straight at David Martin when well placed. A small bright note on a poor day. Man of the match.

Substitutions:

Shaun Batt, for Taylor 46. (6) – Orient’s forgotten man come on for his first appearance in over two months. He played a good through ball for Simpson’s goal, but fired straight at Martin when well placed.

Gianvito Plasmati, for Dagnall 61. (5) – Italian might have scored with first touch of the game, but his header was tame. He defended shockingly for Alli’s goal.

Ryan Hedges, for McAnuff 70. (5) – Welsh under-21 star couldn’t influence proceedings at Stadium mk, but was fortunate not to give away penalty.
