Leyton Orient dropped down to 11th in the League Two table after a day to forget in north London against local rivals Barnet.

John Akinde put the hosts ahead at the break before Lloyd James had a penalty saved early in the second half.

Sam Togwell’s deflected strike made it 2-0 minutes later before Akinde added another following more poor defending to make it a terrible afternoon for the O’s.

Alex Cisak (5) – Really poor day for the Australian even though he couldn’t do too much about first two goals. The third, on the other hand, was extremely disappointing as Akinde simply wanted it more.

Nicky Hunt (5.5) – Former Accrington Stanley ace struggled like much of the back four and was constantly closed down by Bees players forcing him to lose possession numerous times.

Peter Ramage (4) – Coventry City loanee couldn’t handle Akinde. Let him go for the first, was brushed aside too easily for second before deflecting Togwell’s shot in and lost him again for the third.

Shaun Brisley (6) – Better display compared to last week against York City, but it was still tough for him against the physicality of Barnet’s attackers.

Binnom-Williams (6) – Won the penalty early in second half, but allowed too many crosses into the box and his laidback approach isn’t impressing as much now.

Lloyd James (6) – Hugely frustrating afternoon for 28-year-old who was O’s captain. He tried to win battle in midfield, but struggled and then missed from the spot at a crucial time.

Nigel Atangana (5.5) – Another poor performance from French ace, but doesn’t seem to be playing in his preferred position anymore. Had some good chances, but couldn’t beat Jamie Stephens.

Kevin Nolan (5.5) – Orient’s manager was substituted in 63rd minute to ironic cheers from away fans. It wasn’t his day and unfortunately the rest of his team mates didn’t do much better.

Calaum Jahraldo-Martin (5) – Given the license to roam, but wasn’t strong enough on the ball and when he had space, too often he run into trouble. Failed to close down opponents quick enough either.

Jay Simpson (5.5) – Found it tough up against some giant Barnet defenders and then dropped too deep and couldn’t get past their midfielders. Does he need a rest?

Ollie Palmer (7.5) – While he isn’t the best in terms of quality at the club, his energy, work rate and desire is a shining example for his team mates. He never threw in the towel on Saturday and more need to follow his lead.

Substitutes:

Josh Koroma, for Nolan 63. (6.5) – Tough for any 17-year-old to come on at Barnet when you’re losing 3-0, but he played without fear. Showed a little bit of what he can do and deserves more chances now.

Armand Gnanduillet, for Simpson 68. (6) – He tried a couple of dribbles and efforts, two of them going close, but it was all too late.
