Leyton Orient ended 2015 with a defeat on the road at Bristol Rovers, who were backed by a passionate home crowd.
Rory Gaffney was the O’s chief tormentor, scoring twice and proving to be a constant menace all afternoon for the east Londoners.
Jay Simpson found the net again, his 18th of the campaign, but it wasn’t enough to ensure Ian Hendon’s men finished the year with a victory.
Alex Cisak (7.5) – Not much he could do about either goal, but throughout the game he made some fine saves and appears back to his best.

Sean Clohessy (7.5) – One of the rare defenders who impressed against Rovers, got forward well and like Cisak has improved in last two games.

Jean-Yves M’voto (6) – The French ace continues to have a shaky spell and he was brought off at half time against the Gas.

Connor Essam (6) – Frustrating game for the defender, who misjudged two balls in the air and it was costly for Orient.
Cole Kpekawa (6.5) – On-loan QPR man wasn’t as assured as usual and made rash decision to go to ground for the first goal.
Blair Turgott (7) – The former West Ham youngster improved as the game went on and did well for Simpson’s equaliser.
Jack Payne (7) – More influential as the encounter progressed and tried to get on the ball in second half, but couldn’t help create key opportunity.
Bradley Pritchard (6.5) – Yet again the energetic midfielder buzzed around in midfield, but his final ball or final shot wasn’t up to scratch.
Jobi McAnuff (6.5) – Showed his class on occasions, but picked up needless yellow and was taken off as a result.
Ollie Palmer (6.5) – Big forward couldn’t build on his Boxing Day brace as two chances got away from him.
Jay Simpson (7.5) – Quiet in the first half, but came to life on the stroke of half time and looked a threat in the second, just not given enough service.
Substitutes:
Frazer Shaw, for M’voto 46. (6.5) – Young full back didn’t do a lot wrong, but his free kicks could have had a little bit more quality.
John Marquis, for Palmer 73. (6.5) – Difficult for the Millwall man, but he battled hard and tried to find the equaliser.
Scott Kashket, for McAuff 73. (6.5) – Like Marquis, worked hard and picked up the ball in some dangerous areas, but couldn’t produce the leveller.
