Leyton Orient completed a League Two double over Portsmouth at the weekend after Jobi McAnuff scored the only goal of the game.

It was an excellent display by Kevin Nolan’s side, especially the second half – perhaps their best 45 of the season.

And it was enough to get a win at Fratton Park and add to the positivity already at the club right now.

Alex Cisak (7) – O’s number one didn’t have much to do against Pompey, but made crucial save from Marc McNulty when it was goalless.

Nicky Hunt (8) – Very good debut by the former Bolton Wanderers man, despite a slow start. He was excellent with the ball and made two superb blocks in stoppage time.

Shaun Brisley (8) – Peterborough loanee slotted in nicely at the back and marshalled the defence well, might be an wonderful addition.

Mathieu Baudry (7.5) – French captain was solid for much of the game, although had one or two nervy moments, but strong overall.

Frazer Shaw (7) – Youngster didn’t make any mistakes at Fratton Park and defended well against his opposite number.

Jahraldo-Martin (7) – Much better from the Hull City ace, he kept possession and was good going forward and near his own goal too.

Jack Payne (8) – One of his best performances as an Orient player, won so many tackles in midfield and used the ball brilliantly at times. Top display.

Sammy Moore (7.5) – Back in the starting line up and put in a typical showing, full of energy, desire, but also skill in possession.

Kevin Nolan (7) – O’s boss missed a fantastic chance, but supported Jay Simpson well and dropped back when needed. Decent first start.

Jobi McAnuff (8) – Jamaican international scored stunning winner and could have had a couple of assists on another day. Superb performance.

Jay Simpson (7) – A different side to the League Two top goalscorer as he was up on his own at times, but worked hard and kept the ball well. Did miss a few decent opportunities though.
