George Sessions provides player ratings following the 3-2 win against York City at Brisbane Road
Leyton Orient edged out York City in a five-goal thriller at Brisbane Road after Jay Simpson scored twice for the hosts.
Mathieu Baudry put the O’s ahead before being forced off with injury and a goal in either half from League Two’s top goalscorer earned Ian Hendon’s side all three points.
It enabled them to end a strange week in a positive fashion, but they really could have beaten the Minstermen by more than one-goal.
Alex Cisak (7.5) – The Australian international made a wonderful save with the score at 3-1 and it would prove to be crucial. Little he could do about either goal.
You may also want to watch:
Sean Clohessy (7.5) – Solid display from the vice-captain, who took the armband after Baudry went off. Attacked and defended well.
Jean-Yves M’voto (8) – Big Frenchman making his debut performed well in front of the Orient fans. Won a lot in the air and added experience to back four.

Mathieu Baudry (7) – Captain scored wonderful header, but was unfortunately forced off with a hip problem.
Frazer Shaw (8) – Young left-back looked very composed again and got forward plenty of times. Decent performance.
Jack Payne (7.5) – Peterborough midfielder is real leader of the team, nearly opening scoring after a minute with fine strike. Was impressive throughout.
Bradley Pritchard (7.5) – Good energy as usual from Zimbabwean, who was closing and pressurising York opponents all game.
Sammy Moore (7.5) – Excellent cross for the first goal and his set pieces were threatening throughout. Strong showing on return to starting team.
John Marquis (8.5) – Man of the match performance from the Millwall loanee, who gave absolutely everything and ran himself into the ground. Wonderful skill for Simpson’s first and was very impressive.
Jay Simpson (8.5) – League Two’s top goalscorer was on target again. His first was simple, but his second a wonderful strike. He might have had a couple more too.
Ollie Palmer (7) – Lots of effort and endeavour from the big forward, but things didn’t really go his way at the weekend in front of goal.
Substitutes:
Cole Kpekawa, for Baudry 25 (7) – Youngster was thrust into the action and didn’t do too badly. He could probably have done better with both goals, but overall put in a decent display.
Jobi McAnuff, for Pritchard 82.
Blair Turgott, for Marquis 82.
