George Sessions provides player ratings following the 1-0 victory at Notts County
Leyton Orient had defender Shaun Brisley to thank after getting back to winning ways in League Two at the weekend.
He scored the only goal of the game against Notts County at Meadow Lane to give Kevin Nolan’s side all three points.
The encounter lacked quality throughout, but it didn’t matter come full time as the O’s picked up another victory.
Alex Cisak (6) – Australian had little to do, but everything he did was dealt with confidently and earned a clean sheet.
Nicky Hunt (6) – Some good moments with the ball, but caught out a couple of times and beaten too easily by marker on occasions.
Mathieu Baudry (7.5) – Good display by the skipper, marshalled Izale McLeod extremely well and was a threat from set pieces.
Shaun Brisley (8) – Top performance from Peterborough United loanee and a goal to cap it off nicely. He bossed his battle with Jon Stead and deserved to score winner.
Jerome Binnom Williams (5) – Crystal Palace youngster looked off the pace and made some strange sliding tackles during the match.
Jobi McAnuff (7.5) – Excellent effort from the Jamaican throughout, he was O’s most threatening player and unsurprisingly played his part in the only goal.
Nigel Atangana (7) – Back in midfield and got better as the match went on, helped protect the back four and used the ball quite well.
Kevin Nolan (6) – O’s boss gave himself a five out of 10, but he did show a few nice touches. Match fitness still lacking through.
Sammy Moore (7) – Asked to do a job out on the left in an unfamiliar position and gave everything before going to right. Kept ball fairly well and was solid.
Jay Simpson (6) – Frustrating afternoon’s are becoming more regular for leading marksmen in the division, not many opportunities this week and couldn’t hold ball up.
Armand Gnanduillet (5) – Pretty disappointing display from new forward. He picked the wrong option time after time and although he won a few headers in the air, just didn’t look up to it.
Substitutes
Ollie Palmer, for Gnanduillet 63. (7) – Big forward impressed earlier in the campaign as an impact substitute and did the same against County. Held the ball up well and helped get O’s the win.
Calaum Jahraldo-Martin, for Moore 72. (6.5) – Hull City man used his pace brilliantly to win Orient corner, which Brisley scored winner from. Good impact from youngster.
Jack Payne, for Nolan 85.
