“The best way to learn is actually on the pitch, it is nice training, but the more games we play the more we’ll click. Matches are the best way to improve so the more we play the better things will get.”

Kelly is only 26-years-old but does hope to help in the development of a number of talented youngsters at Orient.

The likes of Sandro Semedo, Josh Koroma, Freddy Moncur have impressed during pre-season while O’s have various other exceptional teenagers in their ranks.

“I think there is some experienced players here, but some young lads as well so if I can contribute towards them in any way it’s something I’ll look to do,” said Kelly.

“There is a good few young players in the team and hopefully they can play their part this year. We need the full strength of the squad for the new season.”

“I think there is a strong squad here and after the team finished eighth last season, I think we’ve added some really good players. The only thing we can do now is try to improve on that and promotion is the objective.”
