Leyton Orient’s part-time academy staff still waiting for May wages

With Leyton Orient due in court next Monday (June 12), the part-time academy staff could all potentially be listed as creditors

Several part-time academy staff at Leyton Orient are still waiting to be paid their wages for May.

On Friday it was confirmed that O’s players and full-time staff had been paid their wages for May.

Some employees received it a day early (May 30) and others received their wages a day (June 1) later than usual.

But it has since emerged that numerous part-time academy staff at the Brisbane Road club have yet to receive what they are owed.

The part-time academy staff were paid late for both March and April and in some instances, they were paid less than they were due.

And now they are still waiting to be paid for the work they completed at the club during the last month.

With Orient due in court next Monday (June 12), the part-time academy staff could all potentially be listed as creditors.

It is understood the part-time academy staff have tried to get in contact with chairman Francesco Becchetti, but have not been successful as of yet.
