Leyton Orient winger Sandro Semedo has linked up with the Portugal under-21 team today to take part in a training camp with his national side.

The 20-year-old revealed the news late last night and expressed his delight at earning a call-up for his country.

Semedo has been a regular in the O’s starting XI this season and shown flashes of his obvious potential.

At times the Portuguese youngster has struggled for form, but this call-up is reward for his hard work.

It has not been easy for Semedo this season with several different managers to work under, yet he has always given his all.

He will now spend the next three days with his under-21 national side and under boss Rui Jorge – an ex-Sporting Lisbon player.

Semedo will be in Linda-a-Velha before returning back to England at the end of this week and is set to take part in Orient’s League Two clash with Colchester United.
