O’s add to squad by making move for out-of-contract Gas defender
Leyton Orient have made their fifth signing of the summer, with Tom Parkes joining from Bristol Rovers on a free transfer after penning a two-year deal at Brisbane Road.
The defender will officially move to east London when his contract with the Gas expires on July 1, having made more than 150 league appearances for the West Country side since joining in 2012.
The 24-year-old made 34 appearances in all competitions last season as Darrell Clarke’s men won promotion from League Two in dramatic fashion on the final day of the season.
But Parkes has now chosen to further his career with the O’s, joining Callum Kennedy, Robbie Weir, Gavin Massey and Josh Doherty in joining this summer.
