Do you want to have the chance to play, coach and study at Leyton Orient Football Club or are you looking for a career in the professional football and sports industry?

The Leyton Orient Trust is currently recruiting for its highly successful ‘Sport and Education’ courses based at the Score Sports Centre and Leyton Orient Football Club for the 2016/17 academic year and season.

Male and female students aged 16-18 will study a full time BTEC Sport academic qualification at Level One, Two or Three and combine this with team training and matches where they will represent the Leyton Orient Trust in 11-a-side fixtures.

They will be offered a range of additional vocational coaching qualifications such as the FA Level One Coaching Award, Sports Leaders Level Two Award in Community Sports Leadership and extensive work experience and volunteering placements within the sports industry.

We will also be season running an end of season tour to either Barcelona or Madrid to play college matches and attend a Barcelona FC / Real Madrid game.

This season we have three Development Squad teams entered in the FA Premier / Football League and Association of Colleges Leagues.

Our first team this year is currently playing against other professional Premier and Football League clubs including Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Birmingham City, Fulham, Oxford United, Bournemouth and Portsmouth plus playing on training ground and academy pitches.

The Development Teams are trained and led by Leyton Orient FC Academy and Trust coaches and therefore have a strong link with the professional club.

Ex Performance Squad player Sandro Semedo is currently a first team professional at the club and made his Football League debut during Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at AFC Wimbledon.
