Leyton Orient wait for Josh Coulson news but Dan Holman may return for trip to National League leaders Macclesfield Town

Leyton Orient will hope to have forward Dan Holman available for Saturday’s National League match at Macclesfield Town.
The Cheltenham Town loanee was absent for the 4-1 win over Barrow last weekend after injuring his toe at Guiseley on Good Friday.
Ross Embleton revealed the 27-year-old should be in the squad for the clash at Moss Rose against the league leaders.
He said: “I hope Dan will be back for Saturday. He has had a few days on the bike to keep his fitness up.

“But obviously the injury has impacted him and we’ll have to see how he is this week and see how the injury recovers.”
Holman’s problem is similar to the injury Josh Coulson picked up in the first half of Saturday’s win at Brisbane Road.

The centre back was replaced by Marvin Ekpiteta in the 25th minute after kicking the boot of a Barrow player and he later left the stadium with a protective boot on his foot.

Embleton added: “It’s standard procedure to put him in a boot to protect it and wait for it to settle down. Hopefully it’s only bruising. It was the inside of his big toe and we obvious hope it is not a metatarsal injury.
“Dan Holman had a similar one and we looked back at the footage of it and it didn’t look like a big deal at the time, but it was contact on the bone.
“He went for a scan and there was no fracture or break, but there was severe bruising and he was constantly putting pressure on it so it was difficult for him.”
With Matt Harrold set to miss the rest of the season, Orient will hope to have Holman available for Saturday’s match.
Alex Lawless probably won’t be part of the squad, though he may return over the next week after struggling with a groin injury since February 24.
Embleton said: “Alex has upped what he has been doing with the fitness staff. Again, he had something we all felt wouldn’t keep him out for long, but he got to a level in his rehab and then it nosedived.
“It has been something which has been niggling him, but I would expect him to be back in the group and training soon, although that doesn’t mean he is anywhere near physicality fit enough to play yet.
“However, I’d like to think by the end of this week he will be back training with the group and available for selection again some time soon.”
