A massage parlour in Aldgate where workers offered sexual services to customers faces losing its licence today.

Bosses of Health One will go before Tower Hamlets licensing after posts on prostitute “re-view” site UKPunting described the shop in Middlesex Street as ‘worth checking out’.

Reviews on the site, dubbed “TripAdvisor for escorts”, were posted this summer after the firm behind the venue was found guilty of breaching licensing rules by offering sexual services.

A report for the licensing committee told how in June 2017 an undercover officer from Tower Hamlets Council was led downstairs by a woman in black shorts for a 60-minute, £50 massage.

He described her saying she liked men who would “throw me on the bed and whip me when I’m bad”.

He added: “She turned off the lights and used a mobile phone to light the room.

“She asked if I had ever had a ‘sexy massage’. I asked her what this was. She laughed, placed her hand over my genitals and repeated, ‘a sexy massage.’”

Another undercover officer visited and was met by an Asian woman wearing a “short and tight-fitting yellow dress” who delivered a “thorough, high-standard massage”.

The report says they “discussed the heatwave” and she complemented his physique before offering a “happy ending”. When he declined, he said the mood “turned frosty”.

Cheng Xiang Chinese Medicine Limited, the company which owns Health One, was ordered to pay almost £3,500 in fines and costs at Thames Magistrates’ Court on June 19 this year.

Haijun Zuo, director of Cheng Xiang, denied staff had offered sexual services this year and said he would fight to keep his licence.

He told the Advertiser: “I don’t want that going on in the shop. Things happened in the past and I didn’t know. We have a rule that it should not be happening.”
