Jamaican striker leaves Brisbane Road after scoring 46 league goals for Orient
Kevin Lisbie has joined Scott Cuthbert in departing Leyton Orient after league rivals Barnet announced the signing of the Jamaican forward.
On Wednesday it was reported that the 36-year-old had held talks with Bees manager Martin Allen about joining the recently promoted Conference champions and it was confirmed earlier this afternoon that he has moved to the north London club.
Lisbie was one of 12 players told their contracts wouldn’t be renewed earlier this month and joins Cuthbert in departing Brisbane Road just as Ian Hendon has been confirmed as O’s new head coach.
The forward’s exit was expected but supporters will still be disappointed even though he struggled with injuries last season.

In the end he only made 8 appearances for Orient during the 2014/15 campaign – scoring just twice in victories at Oldham Athletic and Yeovil Town.
Lisbie was loaned to League Two Stevenage in March but endured more fitness problems and only made three starts before returning to Brisbane Road in April.

On the completion of his transfer to Barnet, the Jamaican told their official club website he endured a difficult last year with Orient.
“After speaking to the manager about what the team achieved last season and what he wants to do next year it was a no-brainer for me,” said Lisbie. “I wanted to be a part of it and hopefully I can help the club achieve some good things next year.
“League Two will be a bit different so I think the team will need that little bit of experience. It is a long campaign so I would hope to be able to help the lads both on and off the pitch.
“I am looking to bring my knowledge and my experience to help other people score goals but at the same time I am a striker, so I will obviously be looking to score plenty of goals myself.
“I had a difficult time last year so I am just happy to get a fresh start and have the chance to get playing again.”
Lisbie leaves Orient after scoring 46 goals in 111 league appearances for the club but supporters will get one final chance to see the Jamaican in action this weekend when he takes part in Errol McKellar’s special charity match for Prostate Cancer.
