RELATIVES stumbled across a live Second World War artillery shell as they cleared a flat in Mile End last week. The device was found in the flat in Broadhurst House, Joseph Street on Friday and was going to be donated to Purfleet Heritage Museum. But
RELATIVES stumbled across a live Second World War artillery shell as they cleared a flat in Mile End last week.
The device was found in the flat in Broadhurst House, Joseph Street on Friday and was going to be donated to Purfleet Heritage Museum.
But when a representative came to collect the shell he discovered it was still live and contacted the police who made it safe.
