Lloyd looking forward to helping O’s deliver success at Brisbane Road

Leyton Orient midfielder Lloyd James is hoping the new season will be an exciting one for everybody involved and will result in promotion for the O’s.
The 27-year-old returned to pre-season last week with the rest of his team-mates and met new head coach Ian Hendon.
James was keen to look ahead and focus on the new campaign rather than dwell on the past and is pleased with the positivity at Brisbane Road.
“It is going to be an exciting season for everyone, the fans included, and we can’t wait to get started,” said James. “Obviously promotion is the aim, but it is not going to be easy.

“Anyone that thinks you are going to come into League Two and get an easy ride will be silly because it certainly isn’t going to be that.
“You need to get your head down, work hard and then we will see where that takes us at the end of the season.”

Hendon will be putting the Orient players through their paces when they go off to Spain next week for a training camp.
And James has liked what the new boss has brought to the training ground already.
He added: “Ian seems like a great man and I’m looking forward to working under him.
“I’ve enjoyed the sessions he has put on. He seems like he will have strong discipline and good morale around the training ground and I feel like he has brought that in already, so it should be good.”
Andy Hessenthaler was appointed O’s assistant boss last week and James admits it is pleasing to know how much experience he, Kevin Nugent and Hendon all have in the lower leagues.
The Welsh midfielder believes that will help this season and insists you can notice it already.
James added: “It is nice to know where we stand with an English manager. Obviously it didn’t work out for Fabio Liverani, that’s last year so it is gone. We’re looking forward to starting this year, forgetting last season and moving on.
“The gaffer, the assistant and ‘Nuge’ have all got great experience throughout the leagues and you can tell that in their training sessions.”
